Artist Statement

As a multidisciplinary artist, Judith investigates ways of knowing through materially embodied narratives in natural ecologies, using them as frameworks to understand how our environment can shape our identities and experiences. She often forages urban and natural environments for materials and inspiration, collecting plants, minerals, and fungi to make pigments, and gathering found objects for collage. Her art contemplates the interplay between the self and place within a paradigm of transformation.

Believing in the transformative power of art, Judith collaboratively engages in art education and community development with a goal to build connection, understanding, and resilience through artistic exploration.
